TV Studios has revealed plans for its part in a £5bn theme park in north west Kent.

It will join up with Aardman Animations and the BBC, at a base on the Swanscombe Peninsula between Dartford and Gravesend.

The 500-acre site will feature rides and attractions themed around ITV's Thunderbirds Are Go, and Robozuna, and could create up to 30,000 jobs.

That same site had been earmarked for a project from the film company Paramount, but the organisation pulled out two years ago.

Confident the ambitious project could go ahead without the movie giant, organisers hope this new deal could rekindle enthusiasm.

ITV Studios told us: 'We are thrilled to be on board with this world class project which will offer fans a whole new way to experience our brand.'

The park is expected to open in 2024.
