Health and safety investigation after ride fails on Brighton Pier
The Health and Safety Executive is investigating after a ride failed on Brighton Pier, injuring a teenager.
He was hurt after being hit by part of the ride that came off on Monday afternoon.
The pier's owners have confirmed that part of the "Air Race" malfunctioned.
The victim is not thought to have been seriously injured.
Three other people were treated at the scene.
South East Coast Ambulance Service said a male teenager was taken to hospital with a leg injury.
They said others had been shaken but not injured.
Sussex Police say they were called at around 3pm on Monday to reports of people injured.
Crews from West Sussex Fire & Rescue were in attendance but have since left the seafront.
