Investigation launched after woman dies in Gosport fire
A 52-year-old woman has died after a bungalow caught fire in Gosport.
Hampshire fire crews were called to an address in Nyria Way on Monday afternoon.
The woman was retrieved by firefighters who then administered emergency care and used a defibrillator to try and resuscitate her.
Sadly, she was pronounced dead at the scene by air ambulance crews.
A dog also died at the incident.
Six fire engines attended the incident from Fareham, Gosport, Cosham and Portchester.
An investigation is now underway between Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service and Hampshire Constabulary to establish the cause.
