The cast of cult movie classic Quadrophenia have reunited in Brighton to celebrate the film's 40th anniversary.

The film, set in 1964, was a gritty portrayal of teenage life in the era of the Mods and Rockers, based on the album of the same name by The Who.

Ahead of a special screening this summer, lead female actress Leslie Ash, who played Steph, was joined along the Brighton seafront by co-star Gary Shail who played Spider.

Lead roles were filled by Phil Daniels playing the Mod, Jimmy, and Leslie Ash playing his girlfriend Steph

The film features legendary scenes like the battle between the Mods and Rockers on the beach.

Many of the scenes were filmed along the Brighton coastline, with local bikers being recruited as convincing extras.
