Narrow escape for couple after tree crashes into house

A couple have been talking about their narrow escape after a tree fell on their home in Southampton.

It came down just inches from where John and Joan Goodey were sitting in their lounge in Dunkirk Road - and badly damaged the roof and back wall.

Council workers will begin removing the tree n Monday, and insurers are assessing the damage.
