Hard hitting play teaching students about issue of self harm tours the Thames Valley

A hard hitting play aiming to teach children about the issue of self harm is touring schools in the Thames Valley.

Under My Skin is being performed for Year 8 and 9 pupils to raise awareness of why people self harm, encouraging students to speak out.

The group behind the performance, Pegasus Theatre, are visiting 32 schools in March

They say they've reached 15,000 students since it was launched.

The play is part of a campaign commissioned by Oxfordshire County Council to get school children to seek help.

It comes as self harm accounted for more than 600 hospital admissions from youngsters aged 10 to 24 in a year.
