Hove MP advised to move office after window smashed

Hove MP, Peter Kyle, has been advised to move office after his window was smashed this weekend.

Kyle says he has received warnings in the past from police about his safety, following his increased role in the Brexit debate.

His constituency office on Church Road was targeted with vandals breaking the glass.

Kyle took to Facebook to speak out against those that had been involved.

The MP for Hove and Portslade said it was ironic that a poster with the message 'No Place For Hate' was stuck up on the window that had been broken.

Police have recommended that the shopfront is fitted with strengthened glass.

For several months, Peter Kyle has been advised by police to move his office to a more 'secure location' but says he 'simply won't do it', arguing that in order to do his job he must be 'totally accessible to everyone in the community'.
