Friendship club provides happier Christmas for pensioners

With 10 days to Christmas, there's plenty of excitement in the air.

But of course it's also a time when those living on their own can feel a sense of isolation and loneliness... not so for a group of pensioners in Bicester.

When Oxfordshire County Council cut funding at the local Health and Wellbeing Centre, many of the elderly were unable to use day care services.

But four women in the town got together and decided they would do something about it.

And they've just celebrated a year of running the hugely popular 'Forget Me Not' friendship club.
