Southampton FC Manager Mark Hughes sacked
Southampton Football Club has announced that it has 'parted company' with First Team Manager Mark Hughes.
In a statement released this morning, the club has said: “We would like to express our thanks to Mark and his staff for all of their efforts during their time at St. Mary’s".
Mark Hughes was appointed manager on 14th March 2018 and signed a three-year deal with Saints 11 days later.
Mark Hughes has become the first ever manager in Premier League history to be sacked twice within the same year.
He was sacked in January 2018 by Stoke City and now from Southampton in December 2018.
Southampton FC are currently 18th in the Premier League.
