New rail timetable to be rolled out for a second time
Thousands of South East commuters will face new rail timetables next month as Govia Thameslink Railway makes another attempt to improve services and reduce overcrowding.
Earlier this year a previous change failed to work and the new timetable caused chaos for hundreds of thousands of passengers. Now it says it has 'learnt lessons' - with extra trains from Brighton, Horsham, East Grinstead and Rainham being brought in
A national watchdog representing passengers says the company can not afford to get it wrong again; and, as our Transport Correspondent Mike Pearse reports, travellers are highly sceptical the plan will work.
