Archbishop of Canterbury leads prayers to ailing Kent high streets
The Archbishop of Canterbury has been in Kent on a tour of the Diocese of Rochester.
It's part of a two-day tour to see the work of the church, including the places where outreach workers are tackling today's problems. During a visit to Chatham High Street, the Most Reverend Justin Welby led prayers to ailing Kent high streets.
He also led a prayer session that was streamed on the Rochester Diocese's Facebook page.
As part of the tour, the Most Reverend Justin Welby visited a Sikh Gurdwara near Rochester.
As well as celebrating Kent's diverse communities, the visit was an opportunity to highlight the region's problems, as Tony Green found out.
