The Vestas wind turbine manufacturer has announced it is to hire hundreds of workers in a new expansion plan for its factory on the Isle of Wight.

MHI Vestas said that its plant already employs 300 people, but it needs more workers to meet the growing demand for offshore wind turbines. The firm will carry out its recruitment drive over the next few weeks.
