Active Autumn: How one shop in Kent is encouraging healthy lifestyles

Anyone can come along for advice and tips of maintaining a healthy lifestyle

Our latest series 'Active Autumn' is looking at ways to encourage us all to stay fit and healthy.

In Ashford in Kent, hundreds of people every month have been visiting an unusual shop.

It is there, not to make money, but to encourage everyone to adopt a healthy lifestyle.

The One You shop includes a weight loss group, along with health tests and advice to maintain the public's wellbeing.

The shop is paid for by the county and borough council, along with Kent Community Health.

Beverley Crossland from One You believes being on the High Street makes the service more accessible and visible for the public.

In her report, Abigail Bracken spoke to Charli Heydon, a Weight loss advisor; Team leader Beverley Crossland; as well as Marianne Lovelace, Diana Morton, Bernice Barber and Alex Jeffrey.
