Newly commissioned naval officers have been practising their seamanship skills during a major exercise in the Solent.

A total of 14 Royal Navy P2000 inshore ships took part with multiple young officers based at HMS Collingwood in Fareham, and the Royal Navy University Officer Cadets (URNU) at the helm.

The new officers were given the chance to sail in a number of formations as well as practise manoeuvres.
