Rail companies bid for cash to help disabled passengers

The Government has announced it will give rail companies an extra £300 million to help make stations more disabled friendly.

With the funds, companies would be able to install better signage, audio visual announcements and contrast on ramps, floors and doors for people with visual impairments.

At present, train companies are working with disabled groups to come up with a the best projects to put forward.
