A team of fundraisers have started intense training ahead of their world breaking record attempt.

The group - including volunteers from the South East - are in the Lake District preparing to hike up Mount Everest where they will tackle it out in a game of rugby.

The aim is to raise £200,000 for the children's rugby charity, Wooden Spoon which is based in Fleet.

They will take on the peak in April 2019.
