Pictures: Thousands delayed trying to leave Brighton Pride
Britney Spears wowed crowds of almost 60,000 at Brighton Pride last night.
The superstar headlined the festival, kicking off a European tour of her Las Vegas show Piece of Me.
Afterwards, she posted a video from the stage, and tweeted: "Thank you for a fabulous show...my fabulous fans. I love you all."
But thousands of fans were later said to be delayed or stranded overnight after chaotic scenes at the city's railway station.
Southern Rail said measures were put in place following concerns of overcrowding, having earlier warned that the station could be closed at short notice.
One passenger said she waited for at least three hours before getting on a train, and there were also reports of people fainting in the large crowds.
Photographer Eddie Mitchell captured these images of crowds around the station.
