Spirit of the South: Browns Golf Course, Isle of Wight

Our new series 'Spirit of the South' showcases our part of the world, with its stunning coastlines, woodlands and waterways.

Browns Golf Course on the Sandown seafront, on the Isle of Wight, was officially opened 86 years ago by one of the most successful golfers Britain has ever produced.

It was built by the Kennedy family who made their money as pie and sausage makers in London - and it is still going strong. Richard Jones reports.
