Oxford United's manager has told ITV News there is still "work to do on transfers" before the window shuts next week.

Karl Robinson says the U's have gone through "one of the biggest overhauls of clubs in the country" ahead of their first match of the new Championship season at Barnsley on Saturday.

Robinson has brought in the likes of ex-QPR striker Jamie Mackie, experienced defender Tony McMahon from Bradford and, this week, Sam Smith on a season-long loan from Reading.

The former Charlton and MK Dons boss has also freshened up his backroom team by bringing in former Cambridge and Notts County manager, Shaun Derry, as first-team coach.

Another change that Oxford are currently having to contend with is training at different locations due to their new facility not being ready yet.

Robinson insists that has not affected his squad though and is focused on a successful season ahead.
