Camp Bestival in Dorset cancelled due to severe weather

Camp Bestival at Lulworth Castle in Dorset has been cancelled due to the severe weather.

Organisers say they're "devastated and heartbroken" to have cancelled the event on its final day.

They added it was "such a tough decision" but the safety of "families, kids and our working staff is of paramount importance".

Safety teams have advised organisers not to re-open arenas today due to the forecasting of continual high winds and rain.

The campsites will remain open until Monday at 2pm so festivalgoers can continue their stay.

Organisers say they will issue their ticket refunds policy as soon as possible.
