Forty firefighters tackle blaze at industrial units in Smarden
Around 40 firefighters are tackling a large blaze at industrial units in Kent.
Crews were called to the Smarden Business Estate near Ashford shortly before midday to find two large buildings, 20m X 20m, well alight.
Residents living near the incident have been asked to close their windows and doors due to the large volume of smoke in the area.
Six fire engines and a bulk water carrier have been sent to the scene. It's believed the buildings are used as storage containers.
There are no reported injuries at this stage.
Jamie Freeman and Andrew Boxall sent us aerial photographs taken from their light aircraft after taking off from Headcorn Aerodrome. They said flight routes have been adapted to avoid the smoke.
Crews are using foam, main jets, hose reel jets and breathing apparatus to tackle the fire.
The cause isn't known as this stage.
