Competitors flock to town for annual Poohsticks championships
With the midday day sun beaming down, the 35th World Poohsticks Championships got underway in Witney on Sunday.
The annual competition is inspired by the game played by Winnie the Pooh in A A Milne's books. Participants race sticks in the River Windrush.
The Championships, run by the Rotary Club of Oxford Spires, raises thousands of pounds for charity each year and attracts more people each year. Mel Bloor reports.
