Hampshire Police have made three arrests following inquiries into drug supply at the Mutiny Festival.

Two people died and one remains critically ill in hospital after reportedly taking super strength drugs.

It is not known if the arrests are specifically connected to the rogue batch of pills

In a statement police said that overnight, a 20-year-old man from Havant, a 20-year-old from Waterlooville and a 22-year-old man from Cosham were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

They are currently in police custody.

Tommy Cowan has been named locally

Georgia Jones and 20-year-old Tommy Cowan were both named locally as those who died after being taken to hospital from the Portsmouth event on Saturday night.

They were among 15 revellers admitted to Queen Alexandra Hospital from Mutiny that night, with organisers issuing a warning of a “high strength or bad batch” of drugs.

The second day of the festival, which Craig David and Sean Paul were due to headline, was cancelled as a “safety precaution”.
