Former Gills manager and Reading player in hospital after fall
Former footballer and one-time Gillingham manager Neale Cooper is in a critical condition in hospital after he collapsed at the weekend.
The 54-year-old was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after he was found in the stairwell of flats in the city in the early hours of Sunday.
Police are investigating but said there were no suspicious circumstances.
Cooper is currently Peterhead manager, but also managed Gillingham between 2005 before moving to Hartlepool.
He played at Reading for a spell but the Scot spent most of his playing career at Aberdeen.
