Boy's amazing escape after being hit in the head by a cricket ball
Harry Butt from Canford Heath in Poole was on a friend's driveway when a ball came flying over the fence of Poole Grammar School. He suffered concussion, two black eyes and a swollen nose.
The bruises proof of the impact of the cricket ball that hit Harry. He was standing with his mum, chatting to her friend, when he was sent flying.
A low fence to shoulder height, and thick trees separate the houses from the playing pitch of Poole Grammar School. There's also a high ten metre fence, but not attached to the lower one
The head teacher Andy Baker says they are reviewing the scheduling of their cricket matches, that this is the first incident of its kind since he's been in charge and that they are very sorry for the distress caused to Harry and his family.
