Man found guilty of causing death of teenage boy in Ferrari crash

A man from Surrey has been found guilty of causing death by careless driving after a 13 year old boy was killed, when a high-performance Ferrari F50 crashed on a farm track in Hampshire.

39 year old Matthew Cobden, from Surrey previously denied the charges, but was found guilty at Winchester Crown Court.

The judge told the jury he will accept a majority verdict.

Alexander Worth, from Kings Worthy died when the vehicle in which he was a passenger, hit a post and overturned at North Warnborough on 22nd August 2016.

Neither Alexander or the driver were wearing seat belts.

On Tuesday, Cobden broke down in court when he described what happened. He said "not wearing seat belts is something I think about all the time."

Alexander Worth died at the scene after being thrown from the vehicle.
