Driven to despair: motorists slapped with £92m of Dartford Crossing fines

Fines totalling £92 million have been handed out to drivers using the Dartford Crossing - in the past year alone.

Ever since toll booths were removed three years ago, millions of drivers have been fined. Some are unaware. And some just forget that payment now has to be made online.

But one driver - Sam O'Brien - from Margate, who did pay the crossing fee, has ended up with a bill for more than four hundred pounds. Tom Savvides reports:
