Chaos at Calais: Some shipping suspended by protests
A number of fishing boats have blockaded the entrance to the Port of Calais this morning in protest over the use of electrified nets.
The industrial action by the French fishermen has suspended some ship movements and is causing long delays for those trying to cross the Channel.
Calais is an important link between the UK, through Kent, and France used by thousands of tourists and lorries every day.
The Port of Dover has also been affected by the protest, with P&O and DFDS Seaways suspending scheduled services.
Some services are running between Dover and Dunkerque.
