Kent angler lands massive halibut weighing as much as him
Thanks to Wesley Shrubsole for sending these pictures of a Kent man's mighty catch.
New Romney sea angler David Wood-Brignall landed the halibut on a guided angling holiday in Bodo, Norway.
At 153lbs 8oz, the monster was about the same weight as the angler and was caught from the shore.
It may be a whopper but it's a baby compared to the largest halibut ever caught on rod and reel - A fish weighing 515 pounds caught off the Norwegian coast in 2013 is believed to be the largest.
