Rally driver and passenger killed in crash at Hampshire race track

An investigation has been launched after two rally competitors were killed in an accident at a private event in Hampshire.

It happened on Friday 29th of December at the Bramley Camp near Basingstoke, the venue for the Loco Two Stages Rally, which was running there for the first time.

Details regarding the crash are currently unclear and the names of the those who died are yet to be confirmed officially. Their next of kin have been informed.

The Motor Sports Association (MSA) said it was working with organisers Sutton and Cheam Motor Club and the police to establish what had happened.

The deceased are believed to be a driver and co-driver of the same car.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said they were called to the site at 1.30pm:
