Christmas 2017: Famous faces set to turn on your lights
Up and down our region, preparations are underway for the annual Christmas lights switch-on. Some have already taken place, but there are still plenty to come.
And some are planning to go all out with a celebrity or two to help them turn on the festivities.
Here's a rundown of where you can expect to find some celebs at a Christmas lights switch-on near you.
Piers Morgan
The host of ITV's Good Morning Britain and former Britain's Got Talent judge Piers Morgan is set to turn on the lights at St Peter's Church in Stockbridge, Hampshire. It's planned to take place at around 6pm on Friday, 1 December.
Russell Brand
Comedian and MTV presenter Russell Brand is due to turn on the lights in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. A snow machine will kick-off festivities at 6pm on Thursday, 23 November. The High Street will be closed off to traffic.
Shaine Singer and Holly Green
He's starred in Channel 4's The Undateables and now Shaine Singer is planning to turn on some Christmas lights alongside ITV News Meridian weather presenter Holly Green in New Milton, Hampshire. It's set to take place on Byron Road on Sunday, 26 November.
Andy Moss
The former Hollyoaks actor Andy Moss, who's also starred in the BBC's Doctors, is set to turn on the lights in Chatham, Kent. Festivities kick-off from 5pm on Friday, 17 November between Meeting House Lane and Chatham High Street.
Stephen Webb and Chris Steed
Two stars of Channel 4's Googlebox, Stephen Webb and Chris Steed, are set to turn on the lights in Brighton. It's set to take place in the city centre on East Street tonight from 5.15pm.
Jack and Joel
Two stars from this year's X Factor are set to turn on the Christmas lights in Reading, Berkshire. That will take place at Broad Street Mall from 4pm tonight.
