Bonfire Night 2017: All you need to know about this weekend's events

It's Bonfire Night on Sunday, and there are various events taking place across the south and south-east of England. Here's a handy rundown of some set to take place this weekend.

Berkshire

The Ascot Racecourse is planning to host a fireworks display on Saturday, 4 November. They will start following a race day. There will also be a free fairground until 4pm, where they will then be £1 per ride. All proceeds will go to charity. The day begins at 10.30am, with the fireworks display from 6.30pm.

Reading Abbey RFC are hosting a bonfire and fireworks display on Saturday, 4 November. The gates open at 6pm, with the bonfire being lit at 7.15pm. There will also be a BBQ, music and a sweets stall.

Buckinghamshire

The Stoke Mandeville Fireworks Display is due to take place on Saturday, 4 November. It will also include a bonfire. Doors open at 5pm.

The Quainton Bonfire and Fireworks Display is set to take place on Saturday, 4 November. It will also include food and drink. Doors open at 6.30pm.

Dorset

The Poole Quayside display is due to take place on Sunday, 5 November. Doors open at 4.30pm. It will also include jugglers and street entertainers.

The Bournemouth Littledown Leisure Centre is set to host a display on Saturday, 4 November.

East Sussex

The small town of Battle is due to host an event to mark Firework Night. There will be a procession, fireworks and a bonfire.

Lewes Bonfire Night is one of the biggest in the UK. It is due to take place on Saturday, 4 November from 5.30pm. Police have advised people not to travel to the event who are not from the area.

Hampshire

The Rowlands Castle Assocation (RCA) Fireworks Display is set to take place on Saturday, 4 November in the Recreation Ground. Gates open at 5.30pm, and the display begins at 7pm. There is no bonfire.

The Mayflower Park is set to host a fireworks display on Saturday, 4 November. Doors open at 3pm.

Isle of Wight

The Celtic Manor Resort in Newport is set to host a fireworks display on Saturday, 4 November. The event begins from 4.30pm.

Kent

Leeds Castle is due to hold a fireworks event on Saturday, 4 November and Sunday, 5 November. It will begin with music from 2.30pm.

A fireworks display is set to take place in South Park on Saturday, 4 November. The gates open from 4.30pm.

Surrey

The Guildford Lions Firework Fiesta is set to take place on Saturday, 4 November with the procession from 7pm.

West Sussex

A parade at Pavilion Theatre is set to start at 6pm with fireworks at Worthing Pier following from 8pm.

Wiltshire

The Downton Scout Group is set to host a fireworks night on Saturday, 4 November which will begin from 7.20pm. The bonfire will start at 7pm. A BBQ comes before at 6pm.

Location: The Borough, Downton, Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP5 3LY. Price: Family (2 adults + 3 children) at £15 can be purchased in advance from The Cottage Loaf, The White Horse Inn, The Borough Café, Hale Newsagent OR on-the-day adult will be £7 and children (under 16 years) will be £3.

The Swindon Polo Grounds is due to host a fireworks night. It is set to take place on Saturday, 4 November and the gates will open from 5.30pm.
