Casualty falls 40ft down a cliff and spends night in undergrowth
A person has fallen 40ft down a cliff and spent the night in undergrowth before their cries for help were heard by a member of the public.
The coastguard was called near to Grove on the Isle of Portland in Dorset just after 9am yesterday morning.
The casualty sustained multiple injuries and were unable to raise the alarm until the next morning when they heard a passer by.
Rescue teams cut their way through the dense undergrowth to reach the casualty who was winched to a rescue helicopter and taken to hospital.
