Clear up in Folkestone as homes without water after pipe burst

A mains water pipe has burst in Folkestone, flooding several homes and leaving residents with no water.
The affected water main is on Churchill Avenue, behind Downs Road and hundreds of gallons of water have been gushing down the road.
The issues with the Affinity Water supply is predominantly affecting the CT19 postcode.
A number of homes have been flooded but the water supply has now been switched off as engineers work to repair the damage.

Affinity Water asked that houses in the area do not to use any electrical appliances that require a water supply, for example washing machines or dishwashers, and also to conserve water from storage tanks while the supply is interrupted.
