Monday morning's weather for the west of the region

Spells of sunshine with some fresher nights ahead across Dorset, Wiltshire, Sussex, Surrey, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

Today: A mainly dry morning, with warm sunny spells. However a few showers are possible across Kent and Sussex at first. Further showers could then develop across all parts during the afternoon, with heavy and thundery downpours possible in the east. Maximum temperature 27 °C.

Tonight: Showers will generally ease during the evening, with a largely dry but cloudy overnight period expected. However the odd light shower could persist across eastern parts. Minimum temperature 13 °C.
