Sunny spells with a cooler fresher night ahead across Kent, East Sussex, Surrey and South Essex.

This Evening and Tonight: Occasionally heavy showers will ease through the evening, leaving a largely dry but generally cloudy night, which will feel cooler and less humid for most. Some spots of rain may move into the far west by dawn. Minimum temperature 13 °C.

Tuesday: Cloudy, with patchy rain pushing eastwards during the morning, the best of any brightness in the east. Rain spreading to all parts through the afternoon, becoming persistent and occasionally heavy. Maximum temperature 22 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday: Rain clearing early Wednesday, then mainly dry with sunny spells developing. Starting bright on Thursday, perhaps showery later. Sunshine and a few showers on Friday, rather breezy and feeling cooler.
