Localised heavy, thundery downpours during the afternoon across Kent, East Sussex, Surrey and South Essex.
Bright spells, although occasional showers will develop with a risk of localised thunderstorms, hail and torrential downpours possible in the afternoon in some places. It will feel hot and humid in hazy sunny spells between showers. Maximum temperature 27 deg C (81 deg F).
Tonight, most places will be dry with the heaviest showers easing in the evening although a few sharp showers will continue overnight. Minimum temperature 12 deg C (54 deg F).
It will be dry for the most part on Saturday with warm sunny spells developing. However, one or two places may see a shower. Maximum temperature 23 deg C (73 deg F).
Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday, a fresher feel, with sunny spells, but also rain or showers at times through the period, turning heavy in places. Rain may become persistent later on Monday.
