A31 and M27 closed near Ringwood after fatal crash
Diversions are in place after a fatal road crash on the A31 near Poulner in Hampshire.
The accident happened on the westbound carriageway at around 2.15am, and the road, a main route through the New Forest, remains closed.
One person died in the crash involving a silver Peugeot estate and coach operated by Seaview based in Bournemouth.
Their next of kin have been informed.
Hampshire Police say there are no reports of any further injuries.
As a result of the incident the road has been closed on the westbound side and it will remain closed for several hours.
In order to divert all vehicles safely, including HGVs, the westbound closure starts at junction 2 of the M27 and ends at the A31 in Ringwood.
The diversion will take motorists off at junction 2 of the M27, along the A36 towards Salisbury and then onto the A338 to get back on the A31 at Ringwood.
