Persuasion and punishment: don't text and drive

It's said to be as dangerous as drink driving, yet so many drivers illegally use a mobile phone behind the wheel.

Today, anyone caught breaking the law can expect to receive tougher penalties as the fine has doubled to six points and and a £200 fine.

Our reporter, Phil Hornby, has been finding out if that's enough to make people leave their phones alone when they are behind the wheel.
