A property company which rented out a flat riddled with damp and mould has been fined £2,700.

Winchester-based company Keystone Property Company LTD failed to comply with a council order to fix a faulty roof in the property in Bexhill.

Tenants were forced to sleep in the living room after damp consumed the bedroom and caused part of the ceiling to collapse.

Keystone was initially given four weeks to fix the leaking roof, and after failing this were granted an extra five, but still failed to begin repairs.
