Saturday evening's weather for the east of the region
Rain clearing east tonight for a dry but fresher day tomorrow with plenty of sunny spells across Kent, Sussex, Surrey and Essex.
Today:It will be mainly cloudy and mild with periods of light rain, turning locally heavy this afternoon. The far south will be drier with possible bright spells. Winds will be light southwesterly, but brisk near coasts. Maximum temperature 14 deg C (57 deg F).
Tonight:Cloud and rain will clear this evening, then a dry night with light westerly winds. Mild at first, but feeling chilly in rural areas by dawn with local mist patches. Minimum temperature 4 deg C (39 deg F).
Sunday:Dry with sunny spells and variable cloud cover. Light westerly winds will bring lower temperatures than Saturday. Maximum temperature 11 deg C (52 deg F).
Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:Dry, bright start to Monday, but with cloud and light rain spreading eastwards. Generally cloudy with occasional light rain on Tuesday, but Wednesday will be mainly dry, although rather cloudy.
