Shoppers waited outside for the all-clear

The cause of yesterday's evacuation from the Bluewater shopping centre was a false fire alarm in one of the retail units.

Hundreds of people were forced to leave the complex at 4.10pm on Saturday.

They waited near the mall for 25 minutes before the all-clear was given.
