Pride of Britain - ITV's Fundraiser of the Year - Thursday's nominees
Earlier this year we launched our hunt for the ITV Fundraiser of the Year, part of the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards.
We were overwhelmed by the number of nominations but a judging panel has come up with a shortlist of four for Meridian East and West regions.
We'll announce the winners on Friday - but for the next four days we'll bring you the inspirational stories of eight amazing fundraisers.
MERIDIAN WEST
Tom Newton, Blandford Forum
When Tom Newton lost his 10-year-old brother Ted to a rare form of bone cancer he felt angry and helpless.
He needed somewhere to channel his emotions and frustrations into. He found it in his and Ted's shared love of rock music.
It started as a charity pub gig but has grown in just five years into Teddy Rocks, an annual music festival that thousands flock to in a playing field in Dorset.
MERIDIAN EAST
Kay Sugliano, Crawley
She lost her mother, father and daughter in the space of just eight months.
But despite her pain and grief, Kay Sugliano, works tirelessly raising money for various charities, whilst holding down a full-time job.
Kay's selfless actions have given hope and support to hundreds of people both here in the UK and abroad.
