Pride of Britain - ITV's Fundraiser of the Year - Wednesday's nominees
Earlier this year we launched our hunt for the ITV Fundraiser of the Year, part of the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards.
We were overwhelmed by the number of nominations but a judging panel has come up with a shortlist of four for Meridian East and West regions.
We'll announce the winners on Friday - but for the next four days we'll bring you the inspirational stories of eight amazing fundraisers.
MERIDIAN WESTDavid Owen, Steyning
In 2008, former soldier David Owen, who's 86, heard about a new charity called Help the Heroes and wanted to contribute.
Since then he's raised £170,000 for them.
MERIDIAN EASTDavid Newstead, Culverstone Green, near Meopham
A diagnosis of aggressive childhood cancer meant Shelby Newstead's chances of survival were slim.
But she beat the odds, inspiring her parents to launch a charity for seriously ill children.
Twenty years on, they've raised more than half a million pounds - and now the fund is being boosted through the sale of Shelby's remarkable paintings.
