Simon's Blog - Interestingly Shaped Trees
Yes it's that time of the year when the trees start shedding their leaves and that means they do a bit of shapeshifting.
And you can't deny that the one Richard spotted at Holyport FC's football ground in Maidenhead looks like a butterfly, complete with antennae formed by the bare branches.
You might have to look closely at the one that Graeme Peers saw at Greys Court, near Henley on Thames in Oxfordshire.
Did you spot the sailing ship on the right?
A more obvious one from Douglas Rogers in Clanfield.
I can definitely see a camel!
Have a look at the tree on the far left of this photo from Lee and Colin Thomas-Gray from Selling in Faversham.
They're thinking it's the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz.
Steve Butler in Heathfield saw this bear whilst having a lovely weekend walk around the Pluckley Orchards in Kent.
And finally not exactly a tree but Ken Rayner was walking along the Kennet and Avon canal in Hungerford, when he saw this giant bird sitting on the lock gate arm.
It's actually a sluice winder!
So keep an eye out for trees that look like other things and if you happen to get a picture of one, please email it to me at meridianweather@itv.com or you can always tweet me @SimonParkinITV if you're on Twitter.
