Simon's Blog - Strawberries That Look Like Other Things
Yes it's that time of the year when odd shaped things are sprouting up all over the region and no more so than in the strawberry patch.
And the one Les grew in Warfield is doubly exciting as not only does it look like it's got bunny ears...but...
...if you turn it on it's side it could be a duck with an open bill.
Here’s Peter Pope in Kennington in Ashford’s first home grown crop of the year.
Hang on....does that top one look a bit like a tulip?
And let’s have a big hand for this one from Mike Hook in West End in Southampton...
...that really does look like a hand!
Amy Bowyer in Snodland sent in this one that could also be a hand.
Although from the front it could be a tortoise!
And finally here’s the one Maureen Schwender grew in Salisbury...that looks like it just needs a big hug!!!
Although it's not just in the strawberry patch that things are a bit odd though. Here’s Gary Webster’s potato patch in Fair Oak.
And here’s one of the spuds he dug up!
So if you've harvested something equally as unusual, please email me a photo to meridianweather@itv.com or you could always tweet me @SimonParkinITV if you're on Twitter.
