Fred meets 'Lord Grantham' - Hugh Bonneville on life after Downton Abbey & will there be a film?

The actor Hugh Bonneville is to star in a play at the Chichester Theatre in Sussex

Hugh Bonneville - otherwise known as Lord Grantham of the fictional ITV period drama series 'Downton Abbey' - is back on stage for the first time in twelve years. The actor is appearing close to home at the Chichester Festival Theatre in Sussex.

He is playing Doctor Stockmann in Henrik Ibsen's 'An Enemy of the People'. The story is about a whistleblower whose town turns against him. Bonneville says it is a surprisingly modern theme.

The end of Downton Abbey in December 2015 was a sad event for fans across the globe. Therefore, of course, during the interview, ITV Meridian presenter Fred Dinenage had to ask the actor if there will be a Downton Abbey film. Watch the video to find out his answer.

Downton Abbey was filmed at Highclere Castle on the Hampshire / Berkshire border.
