CCTV catches incredible moment driver rolls her car after hitting ice

Police in Sussex have released dramatic footage of a car skidding on ice and rolling on its roof in Alfriston.

Incredibly, the accident happened in almost exactly the same spot as another crash just a few moments earlier.

Police say the accident happened at around 8am on on Thursday (Feb 11) when a Citroen Saxo driven by a woman in her 20s hit a patch of ice.

They are now warning drivers to take extra care in the cold conditions.

Earlier, a green Vauxhall Corsa also left the road following a similar incident at the same spot.

Both drivers suffered only minor injuries.

Police say it highlights the dangers of microclimates.
