Kent Olympic Gold medallist Lizzy Yarnold to coach 'The Jump'

Kent Olympic skeleton racing champion Lizzy Yarnold has been selected as one of the coaches for the skiing talent show, The Jump.

The Olympic gold medallist from West Kingsdown will work alongside Olympic skier Graham Bell to put celebrities through their paces on the Channel 4 show.

The line-up is made up of:

  • Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding

  • Olympic bronze medallist gymnast Beth Tweddle

  • Socialite Tamara Beck

  • Holby City actress Tina Hobley

  • Eastenders actress Louisa Lytton

  • Olympic athlete Linford Christie

  • Former Westlife singer Brian McFadden

  • Made in Chelsea's Mark-Francis Vandelli

  • Reality TV star James 'Arg' Argent

  • Eastenders actor Sid OwenActor

  • Dean Cain of The New Adventures of Superman fame

The show, which is filmed in the Austrian Alps, sees the celebrities tackling various ski-related activities, with each episode's worst performing contestants having to do a ski jump.

The winner is awarded the Cowbell Trophy, which is currently held by Towie star Joey Essex.

Davina McCall will be back hosting the show, which has moved to a new weekly format, instead of daily.

The series is expected to begin at the end of January.
