The family of a GP killed on New Year's Eve after colliding with a white van have paid tribute to a 'loving husband and wonderful father'.

Dr Wilson Fok worked as a doctor in Erith and neighbouring areas for more than 30 years.

He was walking along Heath Lane in Dartford with his wife on December 31 when they were involved in a collision with a white van.

Dr Fok was pronounced dead at the scene but his wife was not seriously injured.

The driver of the van is not reported to have suffered any injuries and no arrests have been made.

Officers from the serious collision investigation unit want to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident.

They are particularly keen to speak to the occupants of a vehicle that travelled in the opposite direction to the van at the time of the collision and who may have seen what happened.

Anyone with information is urged to call the serious collision appeal line on 01622 798538 quoting reference 31-1054.
